Testing Equipment
M200 Handheld OTDR
M200
Regarded as the best Fiber Optic test equipment in the world, Noyes produces everything from OTDRs and Loss Test Kits to Laser Light Sources. Our showcase product is the M200 Handheld OTDR. This is simply the most amazing and powerful handheld OTDR you will ever use.
M200 Handheld OTDR
The Noyes M200 from AFL Telecommunications offers unmatched OTDR capabilities in a handheld package weighing less than 1 kg (2 lb). Multimode, Single-mode, and 'Quad' wavelength models are offered. With short dead zone and intermediate range specifications, the M200 is ideal for Tier 2 testing of premises (building and campus) networks or certification and troubleshooting of FTTX PON networks. And its bright, transflective display makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor operation.
The M200 is based on a new hardware/software platform that supports automatic and manual setup, precision event analysis, dual-wavelength testing, fiber identification using Noyes 'TR' test receivers, rich file naming and folder setup, 6 hour battery life, internal and removable media data storage, and USB connectivity. Test ports are equipped with tool-free adapters, which can be changed in seconds. A custom-designed polycarbonate case and shock-absorbing boot make it our most rugged OTDR ever.
Results are saved as industry standard .SOR files, which can be viewed, printed, and analyzed on a PC using free-ware available to you and your customers. Unit firmware, user settings, and test results are saved in non-volatile memory. Thus the M200 may be stored with battery removed for an extended period of time and still be up and running in seconds when needed.

Turbotest 500B
The TURBOTEST 500B Series offers the latest technology in a single fiber bi-directional loss and return loss testing. The T500B is a handheld fiber optic test and measurement instrument. It performs Optical Power, Optical Return Loss, and Optical Loss measurements. Five compact models are available, including the three wavelength (1310/1550/1625) T506B and (1310/1550/1490) T506B-FTTH. An optional dedicated digital talk option is available for full time/full duplex communication between test operators while testing other fibers in a bundle.
The T500B can store up to 1000 records (40 files) in any combination of its four operating modes and if any configuration other than TRIPLE wavelength is selected. If the configuration is TRIPLE wavelength, the T500B can store up to 500 records (40 files). Stored test results can be transferred to a PC for a complete report generation.
Powered by an internal rechargeable Lithium-lon battery, the T500B comes with protective rubber boots, PC software and manual, AC adapter/charger, RS-232 serial cable, APC/UPC reference cable, adapter cap, mandrel, screwdriver, hex screwdriver, warranty registration card, user's guide, and carry case.

SMLP 5-5 Single-Mode/Multimode Test Kit with Wave ID and Data Storage
SMLP-55-0908
The SMLP 5-5 test kit combines the OPM 5-2D optical power meter and OLS 4 integrated LED and LASER light source and is ideally suited for testing fiber optic networks with hybrid (single-mode and multimode) cables.
The OLS 4 features 850 nm and 1300 nm LED output from a multimode output port and 1310 nm and 1550 nm LASER output from a single-mode output port. The LED and LASER outputs are stabilized to ensure accurate test results per current TIA/EIA requirements.
This light source offers 4 modes of operation: Dual wavelengths sending ID, single wavelength sending ID, CW, and modulated Tone. [Active Output], [Tone], [Battery], and [External Power] indicators identify the currently enabled operating mode, battery charge status, and external power presence. Both output ports are equipped with removable SC (FC or ST available) adapters to allow the output connectors to be inspected and cleaned.
The OPM 5-2D offers Wave ID, automatic wavelength identification and switching, when used with the OLS 4 light source. Multiple test Tone detection is provided for fiber identification. The OPM 5-2D stores optical references for each calibrated wavelength. An easy to read Dual Wavelength LCD display with Backlight shows measured power [dBm or µW] or insertion loss [dB], calibrated wavelengths, tone signal [Hz], wavelength ID, and the battery charge status. Up to 500 records per wavelength of power or insertion loss measurements may be stored in internal non-volatile memory.
Using the supplied Windows® compatible software and USB connection, test records may be transferred to a PC for storage, display, analysis, and printing.

Optical Loss Test Instruments — Military Grade LED/LASER Test Set
PX-D110M
The TECHLITE™ PX-D110M test set is intended to allow technicians to perform precise optical measurements in the field. The meters, when operated in absolute power mode, are used to determine the level of optical power being emitted from a transmitter. In relative mode, the meters are used with the included source to perform fiber loss measurements or splice tuning operations.
TECHLITE™ meters and sources were designed to be rugged. As with all Photonix test instruments, the internal circuitry is housed within an aluminum extrusion with high impact rubber bumpers. This meter can be driven over with an automobile and has even been known to have survived a 24' drop onto concrete. When stored in its protective waterproof carry case (included when purchased with a light source as a test kit), the set can even be submerged several feet underwater. In addition, the instruction guide is fully laminated to make it weather resistant and virtually tear-proof.
The included TECHLITE™ PX-B220M meter features NIST traceable calibration at 4 wavelengths: 850nM, 1300nM, 1310nM, and 1550nM with measurement power levels as high as +3dBm or as low as -60dBm. The meter also features a true resolution of 0.01dB at ALL power levels thereby allowing the technician to trust measurements below -45dBm. The TECHLITE™ meter, in relative measurement mode, will store the zero reference reading for all four wavelengths independently in non-volatile memory. This allows all zero references to be taken at one time and also allows the unit to be turned off while moving between locations preserve battery life. Also in relative mode, the meters will also display a 1dB analog type deviation pointer and an un-averaged mini-display for real-time splice tuning. The TECHLITE™ meters utilize a graphic LCD screen to create unusually large and easy to read numbers as graphics to indicate power levels.
The included TECHLITE™ PX-C202M LED source offers advanced temperature and coupling stability as well as enhanced CPR performance to provide superior test accuracy. As well as the included PX-C205M LASER source, the ability to operate one or both outputs simultaneously in either CW, 30Hz, 500Hz, or 2kHz modulation for use with leak detectors or fiber identifiers.
Features:
- 850nm / 1300nm LED source

Measurement Quality Jumpers (MQJ's)
The MQJ (Measurement Quality Jumper) is used for testing fiber optic links in accordance with the Mil-STD-2042B. These cables are tested to provide accurate repeatable readings. Our strict assembly and testing procedures certify only those cables that fall within the range prescribed in the Mil-STD-2042B. These tolerances will correctly reject a failing link and correctly accept a quality link. Please see our catalog for greater detail and drawings.
