American Fiber Optics to Offer the M83522/16-DNX Military Fiber Optics Connector

Norfolk, VA — Leading military fiber optics provider will now stock the Newly Navsea Qualified Mil-83522/16-DNX manufactured by Applied Optical.
Effective immediately American Fiber Optics, a New Jersey based supplier of military fiber optics, will offer the 83522/16-DNX fiber optic connector. The 83522 is among the most recent military fiber optic connectors to be qualified by NAVSEA (Naval Sea Systems Command).
"The 83522 is the ideal connector for extreme environments," says American Fiber Optics CEO, Trente Balderson. The 83522 connectors are often used in aircraft, spacecraft, ship, and land-based applications.
"Our decision to add the 83522 to our product line is based on the recent NAVSEA rating, as well as their high quality performance and competitive price," says Trente Balderson. American Fiber Optics will offer the 83522 in a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) version for use in any Military STD-2042 installations.
American Fiber Optics experts have designed a 4-day onsite training course focused on installation and maintenance of the 83522. The course, "Mil-STD-2042B Military Fiber Optic Training Course," also meets the TOFT requirements for Mil-STD-2042B Level 6 Certification. American Fiber Optics is a recognized industry leader in military fiber optics training, with clients such as Lockheed Martin, NASA, Lucent Technologies.
"Before we add any new product to our inventory, we ensure that we also offer a full support structure for that product," says Trente Balderson. American Fiber Optics offers on-site support services for the newly stocked 83522 including on-site termination, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and certifying of fiber optic cable plants to industry codes.
